Cool tune, shit recording

Pretty cool, but you really need to record it by comp, this sounds awful. However, you've got some cool sounds and a nice melody.

By the way, have you considered doing "The son of Flynn"? I think that that would go great into 8-bit.

Nice-ish

Not too bad. The whirring in the right got a bit annoying for being in one ear all the time, and the intro was pretty cool.

This seems like you went through the box of effects, and in some parts that is good.

The rapid change of tempo at 1:00 is a bit odd, and not to my liking.

You've done a great job of this, all I could ask for is that the melody were much louder, it seems to fade into the background.

I like what you've done with this song, but it just doesn't seem to have a bit of the quiet style horror captured in the original.

By the way, what BPM is this? I've been meaning to try an 8-Bit port of this, but can't figure the note length.

Too many low frequencies

Trust me, I know. I've been playing around with this stuff for a while, and with some higher tones, this could really work. The main tune could be done in 25% Pulse, even.

The second part gets a bit better, but still way too many low, buzzy freqs.

Now, I know that that is what you think 8-bit music MUST be like, but that would be wrong. For a quick example, look at my work.

I just fell you used the Noise channel too much, and as too major a component.

And I couldn't miss the opportunity to pay you back. This is quite a nice song, I find. It is soft, but still has a good bass beat, which I enjoy, and is never too heavy or, umm... Instrument-full? Can't think of the term at the moment.

Anyway, true, this song is a bit "soft", because its the way I mixed it.

You should try using the Fruity Loops 8 bit plug, if it helps. It isn't 'Perfectly' authentic bu is pretty damn close.
